of soft ferrites which are used in the electronics industry to suppress
EMI and provide inductive components (transformers). Ferrites are
magnetic ceramics typically made from iron oxide combined with one or more
other metal oxides such as nickel, zinc or manganese and comprise “soft
ferrites" and "hard ferrites” (permanent magnets). These terms describe
their magnetic rather than physical properties.
