The Transmet Corporation was incorporated in 1979 as a subsidiary of Battelle to commercialize its patented Rapid Solidification Technology (RST) for producing solid metal products directly from a molten state in a fraction of a second.  The company was reorganized as an independent, private company in 1990 and now is the world’s largest supplier of rapidly solidified aluminium alloy particulates used in a wide variety of commercial and industrial products and processes.

 Melt Spinning
       Metal flakes in a wide range of shapes (square, rectangular, flat fibre) are produced using their unique Melt Spinning process.  Their production capacity is in excess of 2000 pounds per day of aluminium.

 Spinning Cup
      Metal particulates (needles, tadpoles and spheres) in a wide range of sizes are produced using their unique Spinning Cup process.  Their production capacity is in excess of 2000 pounds per day of aluminium.
